Plot
During the 1972 Munich Olympics, an American sports broadcast crew is forced to cover a hostage crisis involving Israeli athletes.. All believable, funny acting in the right places, and the pace and running time don’t let you peek at them.
They did a solid job of not telegraphing plot points
For someone who doesn’t really know the story, I was really interested in the details of what went down. Some may find it tedious not having the scenes change, but I think it worked in this case.
Making you think without preaching
I think they wanted you to feel like the control room was your world and feel like they were on this eventful day. They touched the political and emotional aspects well.
A nice touch
Mixing footage from the actual event, including broadcast footage, will definitely draw you into the experience even more. It’s not a film I intend to watch again and again, but it’s a very well-done piece that I’d recommend to friends who enjoy this type of film.
