Clotaire, a rebellious local teenager, falls in love with his classmate Jackie, but gang violence leads him down a darker and more destructive path. The film is very long and quite uneven between the first part, where the characters are teenagers, and the second part, ten years later. The acting is very good. The young actors are fresh and authentic. Adèle and François are the best. Alain Chabat is a big teddy bear and as usual he wants to beat Benoit Poolvoorde. The background music really gives the sound of the 80s in the French industrial city. Mainly British and American songs, but therefore based on the era. You finish the film with a smile on your face. Not the best film of the year, but a beautiful and crazy passionate love story. Even if you are unequal, you follow Clotaire and Jackie to the end.
