David Kaplan: Yeah
Plot
Mismatched cousins meet on a road trip through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a different turn when old tensions between the odd couple resurface against the backdrop of their family history. When Benji and David visit their grandmother’s home in Poland, the place is where Jesse Eisenberg’s real ancestors settled in exile. Benji Kaplan: We stay moving, we stay light, we stay agile. By the time he gets to the front, the train will be in the station and we’ll be home free. David Kaplan: This is fucking stupid. Tickets are probably like twelve bucks.

Benji Kaplan: It’s a matter of principle. We shouldn’t have to pay for train tickets in Poland. David Kaplan: No, it’s not, it was our country. They fired us because they thought we were cheap. Appeared on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #46.44 (2024).
And Real Pain is a great movie
12 Etudes, Op. 25, No. 3 in F Major Written by Fryderyk Chopin Performed by Tzvi Erez. Jessie Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin give some of the best performances of their careers. I definitely think Culkin will be one of the Oscar favorites this year.
Eisenberg also wrote and directed this movie
He also hit the ball out of the park with both of these assignments. This movie has a consistently intriguing, emotional, and entertaining script. The movie deals with difficult subjects and handles them all with gusto. This is a movie that clearly meant something to everyone who made it, and I think that can be seen in the final product.
