Early in the series, Willis (Jimmy O
Yang), Fatty (Ronny Chieng), and Carl (Chau Long) see Detective Lana Lee (Chloe Bennet) on television and discuss her possible ethnicity: Carl says, “She looks Thai,” while Fatty retorts, “Dude, she’s clearly Korean.” In fact, Bennet is the son of a white mother and a Chinese father. Early in her acting career, she changed her last name from Wang to Bennet (her father’s name) after meeting with casting agents who told her they couldn’t cast her in Asian or Asian-American acting roles, but her name prevented her from being typecast as white characters.
Okay, I’m like a guy who happens to watch TV and comes here to look at some trivia and some reviews
I never thought I’d have to come here and do a review, but for this series, I’m happy to do it. This is a show for people who relate more to Rick and Morty, because if you watch it from afar it will seem like a total mess with no plot, but if you try to look and look for the little things in the direction, dialogue, and music choices, you’ll probably see the genius that was crafted into this series.
I need a second season
All I ask for is more marketing so people can watch it. Well, all I can say now is be kind to people and be kind to yourself, have a great day.
