A modern-day tale of fortune in the West Texas oil rig world.. See writer/director Taylor Sheridan’s most popular movies and TV series on IMDb, ranked by user ratings.. A Landman, at least one of whom works in the petroleum industry, explores Act as intermediary between companies and landowners. Generally, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners who own mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent, essentially managing and leasing the land so they can drill for oil and gas. Like the foreman of a construction site, they build roads, house laborers (man-camps), assemble excavation machinery, and supervise the digging of wells, especially in remote locations. They are also, part Fixer, Problem Solver and Facilitator.. as mentioned in CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). This could have easily been rated 8.5 – 9. Ex-Wife/Mother. They serve no purpose to the plot and are simply annoying and insulting to the women of West Texas. A far west Texas man I understand where Sheridan is coming from, but this is dangerous. West Texas women are some of the strongest, most ambitious women I know. Now apart from that, the writing and acting are superb. Sheridan easily has another Yellowstone on his hands if he gets off the embarrassing interfamilial horns. But then again, I love Sheridan’s writing (and acting) and for the most part a very enjoyable show.
