Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to pass on the legend of Mufasa to the young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, and lends his signature to Timon and Pumbaa. The story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub who is lost and alone until he meets a lovable lion named Taka, heir to the royal bloodline. The chance encounter sets off an expansive journey for an unlikely group of misfits in search of their destiny—their relationships will be tested as they work together to evade a menacing and deadly enemy.
