speaker. Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters who grow up and get into trouble in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops right into that fictional world, we take the time and care necessary to set the locations and characters in a commendable way. The show doesn’t tell fashion.
The animation is truly exquisite
The solid character development and world-building mean it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch that knows nothing about the game. As an anime fan, I found the animation in Arcane to be better than anything I’ve ever seen from an animated series. There’s incredible attention to detail. It’s clear that no artistic talent or expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life.
A great soundtrack, great cast, and a gripping story that doesn’t skimp on violence and coming-of-age themes
