The square also features holiday lights, just like the ones in the movie
Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family compete to win Fan of the Year, a contest given by fan engagement director Derrick for this year’s holiday-themed romantic movies that can be watched in the comfort of your own home. The movie was filmed at the historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which really does look like this year-round. The locations that served as the Higman Family Store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ joint are also family stores in real life.
But I’m sorry, that was a bummer
Well… I’m a Chiefs fan; I’m a Hunter King and Tyler Hines fan. I wish I could stop there, but I have to clarify. If you’re not a Chiefs fan, I don’t know how you’re going to get to the end of this movie.
They really went overboard
I didn’t think the chemistry between Hines and King was that strong. The writing was so-so and the overall plot was a bit odd. I liked the supporting cast and Ed Begley Jr.
But I don’t
was very good as the grumpy old man. I thought it was interesting that there was a scene in a Hallmark movie where the entire family was beaten into scrambled eggs. I wish I had better things to say.
