Colin Farrell fought hard to make The Penguin smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but was unsuccessful
Plot
Following the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, stages a play to seize the reins of Gotham’s crime world. Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about how he developed his character during the production of “The Penguin,” from the melting makeup to the freezing filming. In his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual smoker, preferring to smoke cigars.
The DC Studios logo is set in a rainy Gotham alley
An umbrella falls and the emblem transforms into the Warner Bros. logo. Starring Graham Norton and Gosti: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).
But after Part 1, I can confirm that this show is amazing (so far)
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood why they would take a thin, good-looking actor and put him in a massive prosthetic and fat suit… especially when I think he looks like some other famous actor who would have been just as good. I also didn’t really understand why this spinoff came about, and I’m honestly sick of the Batman reboot.
But I didn’t expect to like it so much
I only watched it because I knew it was supposed to be a bridge between the first and second movies, and I was surprised that Farrell had a role in the first one. The acting is fantastic, the writing is great, and it surprised me with some quick twists. The biggest thing I liked was that there was a lot more color in this than in Batman.
I hope this continues to be as good as it is going because I really can’t wait for the next episode
I noticed it almost immediately, as it was a huge excuse for me to watch the movie (it felt like I was watching it through a Zack Snyder lens). Check out "Yellowstone" Season 5, Episode 2, "Squid Game" Season 2, and more of the most anticipated new and returning series on TV and streaming.
