Plot
Spanning four tumultuous decades during the Troubles in Northern Ireland
The real Dollars Price was married to Irish actor Stephen Rea for two decades (1983-2003). During that time, Rhea appeared in the most famous US film: the 1992 romantic thriller The Crying Game.
Being from the North, it’s so surreal
In that film, Rhea plays Fergus, an extremely reluctant and ambivalent member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), the same organization Price has been involved with for years. Watching such a high quality TV series about this period.
The series clearly tries to find a balance in looking at this period
Obviously the main focus towards the end is on the missing, particularly Jean McConville and several former IRA volunteers, but it does a great job of portraying the motivations and circumstances of those involved in the IRA. The characters on all sides are brilliantly developed and acted, especially Dollars Price and Brendan Hughes, and the quirky humor is very welcome.

Overall, this is a sometimes cheesy but thought-provoking watch, and I thought it was worth spending a day watching! A new season of “Silo” One of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of the month.
