Britain allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, which is a rare honour for any film or film production, especially an American one
Tale
In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler lands a high-profile job she is ill-suited for, with tectonic consequences for her marriage and political future. The producers have persuaded the US and British governments to allow them to use real locations to film the series, including most recently the US Embassy (in Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.

The only location that was inaccessible was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador. Although accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (11 acres) in London other than Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house on the outskirts of the city for filming.
It is truly original, it has never happened before
As hard as it may seem, this series is also “fresh”. Something else important happens in the middle of the first episode, and somehow the creators of this drama managed to convince the people making the trailers not to include it, or even hint at it.
The script is smart; the plot and dialogue flow smoothly into each other
I’m only halfway through the second episode, but I can already tell you that it’s not like other spy/thriller shows or books. It’s also kind of refreshing because it’s not dominated by the kind of paranoia that plagues Australians and others.
