When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to be on the show, Segel said that Goldstein initially wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and would audition people who were similar to Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they should bring it to Ford first, thinking he would turn it down immediately, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project, generating interest from other notable actors.

First of all, as soon as I saw Harrison Ford and Jason Segel in it, I was already going to watch it, but after reading all the positive reviews and watching the trailer, my excitement grew even more. I’m not saying it’s the best show of the year, but it’s an original comedy that will have you laughing every episode.
