During season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son David Zayas Jr. replaces his father in some shots as they look so much alike. Dexter has a large scar on his left side that is visible throughout the first season. Later in the second season, the scar has moved to his right side, leaving the left side unmarked.
